Pools may be closing and the weather may be cooling down, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! Check out these exciting fall events going on around Lexington for you and your family to enjoy:


Touch-a-Truck 2019

Not only can you see the most unique vehicles up close and personal, but you’ll also be benefitting the Child Development Center of the Bluegrass, which is a win-win in our opinion!

Christ the King Oktoberfest

This family friendly fall fest includes entertainment for kids young and old. From obstacle courses to gambling, your family is sure to have a blast! Oh, and did we mention there will be food? You won’t be disappointed!

Tahlsound Music Festival

You don’t have to travel far to find a fun music festival! Here’s one right in the heart of Lexington. Tickets are only $15 per person, and children 12 & under are FREE!

Bonfires and Haunted Hayrides

Trust us when we say that Eckert’s Orchard is a place to be this fall season. Not only can you sit around a fire with your friends and family, but you can also take a nighttime journey through the orchard on one of their haunted hayrides. It’s bound to be a “spook-tacular” time!

U-Pick Day on the Farm

You’re invited for some flower-picking fun, hosted by Greenhouse 17. For $15 per bucket, you can choose from a wide selection of seasonal flowers while supporting nature-based healing. And the best part? You can bring your dog!!

Barktoberfest 2019

This FREE, all-day event is hosted Paws 4 the Cause, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing animals. Not only will there be food and fun, but you will also be able to see adoptable pets!

Walk to Remember

Hosted by the University of Kentucky NICU, this annual ceremony/walk is in remembrance of children who were lost due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death.

Mary Queen Fall Festival

Prosecco for Ponies

Come out to New Vocations at Mereworth Farm for brunch catered by Local Feed (Yes, there will be mimosas). Funds raised from this event will be benefitting the Kentucky Horse Council’s work in advocating for the Kentucky equine community.

The Pumpkin Run 2019

Treats on Main

Trick or Treat

Wilmore, KY, a city located in Jessamine County, is hosting their annual Treats on Main, where they block off Main Street so that local businesses and organizations can hand out candy and provide fun games for children. It’s a family halloween event that your kids will definitely enjoy!

Louisville Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular

If you’re looking to step out of Lexington for Halloween, and trick-or-treating isn’t really your thing, this may be the perfect event for you! 5,000 professionally carved pumpkins line a 1/4 mile trail in Louisville’s historic Iriquois Park and put on an art show for you. It will definitely be something spectacular that you won’t get anywhere else.

Day of the Dead Festival | Festival del Dia de los Muertes

This community event allows you to experience the cultural traditions of this holiday that is celebrated in Mexico and parts of Central and South America. This festival is going to include live music and dancing, traditional food, arts and crafts, and more!
