Ok, so it’s not strictly real estate related, but you know what we say: “location, location, location!”…and Dry Art, a new blowout and full-service salon on North Ashland is just one more new, hip, hot spot that makes Lexington and Central Kentucky such a fantastic location to call home! The corridor has experienced a lot of growth in the last couple of years including new workout studios, an art gallery and more! We’re not a gigantic city – and we like it that way – our charm is in the details…as long as we can still have all the best amenities. And we do!
The Lane Team – and a few friends – stopped by the grand opening party recently and we only have great things to say. The space is gorgeous and the location is in a smart, up and coming area (of course we noticed those things first!) the staff is friendly and talented. We can say this categorically because in addition to the delicious appetizers (nom) and signature “blowout” cocktail, Dry Art’s Stylist-in-Chief Sharla Hill arranged for her guests to receive sample styling from the menu of services available.
At Dry Art you can visit the blow dry bar, the brow bar or the salon, and there’s even a makeup artist! We think the prices are reasonable, plus, if you’re really blown away, you can throw a private party or purchase a package. Students and those who refer get a discount.
Blowout Cocktail, by Hampton Fisher
The signature cocktail created for the event was developed by Hampton Fisher, barkeep par excellence at Belle’s Cocktail House downtown Lexington.
1 oz Aperol
1/2 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
4-5 oz prosecco
Top with club soda, pour over a cube or two of ice into a champagne flute and add a twist (of lemon)!
