Every year the Lexington Thriller parade turns the people of this city into frightening dancing zombies and this year is sure to be the best one yet! To join the horde of dancing undead at this annual event you must register online, adults are $11 and any person under the age of 16 is $6. The last day to register is Friday, October 21st. The Thriller parade is not the only element to this epic event. Starting at 6:30pm on Saturday, October 29th there will be a dance showcase at the Courthouse Plaza followed by the Halloween Parade at 8pm. The Thriller parade will begin following the Halloween Parade at 8:30pm. Main Street from The Kentucky Theater to Mill Street. Rain date is October 30th.

The Kentucky Horse Park is ready to dim the lights and share some spooky stories from the past. Friday October 21st and Friday October 28th from 5-7pm, this walking tour is sure to send a chill down your spine. Guided during dusk you will learn about the mysteries surrounding the Kentucky Horse Park while walking the outskirts of the premises hearing tales of duels, Civil War generals and Native American attacks. You will visit small family cemeteries and an American Revolutionary War hero’s home. Visit the bloodiest battle grounds, all while learning a bit of Lexington’s haunted history. This tour is not recommended for children under the age of 12. Call (859)259-4213 to reserve your spot! Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12-17.
Have a furry friend? This Sunday, October 23rd Incredipet is having their 24th annual Howl-o-ween event! Dress up your pet and enter them in the costume contest for a chance to win some “paw”-esome prizes! Dog costumes will be judged from 1-1:30 pm and cats, people and other animals will be judged from 1:45-2:30 pm. There will also be an adoption fair, photo booth, caricatures, a food truck and more! This event will happen in the grassy area behind Incredipet on Southland Drive. Bring out your furry best friend and have some fun!
And last but certainly not least, we cannot forget that Trick or Treating is scheduled for October 31st from 6-8 pm
