Lane Team Guide: What to do Labor Day weekend

This Labor Day weekend is the time to get out, enjoy the last days of summer, and support local! Start your Labor Day weekend off early with Thursday Night Live starting at 4:30PM on September 1st in the 5/3 Pavillon area downtown. The band for the evening will be Mercy Men and the non-profit volunteers will be AVOL! Make sure to check it out!

The night marketThe festivities continue into Friday night  starting with The Night Market kicking off the evening at 5PM. Local shops and food trucks will line the corner of North Limestone and Loudon Avenue. After you’ve stocked up on locally made gifts and filled up on delicious delicacies head on over to Triangle Park! They will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Top Gun by having a free showing in the park starting at sunset!

Rise and shine Saturday morning with the Farmers Market! Head back to the 5/3 Pavillon starting at 7AM. Pick up some local produce and snacks to get prepared for the first UK football game of the season! UK will be playing Southern Miss starting at 7:30PM. Get out and tailgate or call up some friends to come over and watch the game. Whatever you choose, its sure to be a good time cheering on our Cats!

9515_UKFootball_LL_JB-6-of-83-e1441555931899Sunday morning relax and head over to Arcadium for their fabulous bloody mary bar or a pineapple juice mimosa, then walk on over to County Club for brunch or grab some doughnuts at North Lime Coffee and Donuts at one of their two locations!
