Tell us a little bit about yourself:
Hi, everyone! I am so excited to be joining the Lane Team. I am a senior at the University of Kentucky studying Integrated Strategic Communication with a minor in English. In addition to this internship and classes, I also work at Calypso Boutique part-time. I am from Nicholasville, KY, so the Lexington area is near and dear to my heart. I have two brothers, and I’m super close to my fam. Two of my best friends and I live together, so life at our house is never boring! I also have a 2-year-old silver lab named Bo 🙂
What made you want to apply to this internship, and what are you most excited about?
I received an email from my major’s department and read the description of the internship, and I couldn’t apply fast enough! I really want to get as many hands-on experiences as possible before I graduate, and I’ve also always been interested in the real estate industry. So, it sounded like the perfect fit! I am most excited to learn more about real estate and to strengthen my skills across all software programs for marketing.
What’s your favorite local restaurant?
Drake’s is by far my favorite local spot. The buffalo chicken minis are my favorite, I love spicy food! I also love getting the Lexingtonian salad and the crab rangoon sushi roll. My friends and I like going to their trivia nights as well! It’s such a fun atmosphere. I’m also a regular at Local Taco, it doesn’t get much better than their southern fried chicken tacos.
What’s your favorite Kentucky tradition?
I love going to Keeneland to watch the races, weekends spent at Lake Cumberland, and of course UK basketball and football games.
Any hobbies or interests we should mention?
I love fashion and enjoy reading style blogs and shopping. When I find downtime in my schedule, I like watching Netflix/Hulu shows and movies. New Girl is my absolute favorite. I also enjoy staying active and going to the gym. It’s the best stress relief from school and work! Traveling is another hobby of mine, but obviously, with COVID, I haven’t been able to do that lately. Nashville is one of my favorite cities to visit!
